The Asian American Movement has struggled to make its history known and thereby ensure civil rights for Asian Americans. This panel addresses the importance of building public visibility, historical preservation of the Summit Tunnel by the 1882 Foundation, and the passage of a Congressional Gold Medal to Chinese Americn WWII veterans by the Chinese American Citizens Alliance.
