Philadelphia Asian Performing Artists (PAPA) presents an artist showcase featuring selected pieces from their August 2019 production, Philly Asian Histories. For this show a team of eight performing artists from varying creative backgrounds have devised and cultivated individual performances, with each featuring a different moment in our city’s Asian American history.

In a national landscape where our stories are often overlooked, Philadelphia Asian Performing Artists (PAPA) for the past 4 years has been galvanizing, growing, and promoting Philly’s Asian and Asian American performers through performance opportunities, national forums, residencies, and community events. Philly Asian Histories marks a momentous occasion as we explore multidisciplinary and devised performances for the very first time!
