“Hae Hawaiʻi” is a historical drama that takes place during the overthrow of the Hawaiian monarchy. In the days leading to annexation, loyalists to the crown seek to preserve what is left of the kingdom. They recruit a young Hawaiian thief to safeguard the unifying symbol of the lāhui, the Hawaiian flag.
